Heritage Open Days: Tours & Talks
Guided tours with pop up talks on the Cathedral's architecture and furnishings.
Free guided tours will include the crypt, not normally open to the public, and a small exhibition of the cathedral's treasures. There will be a special emphasis on the cathedral's early decorative schemes, elements of which have recently been uncovered, and we will be unveiling the new Restoring Pugin Project, supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund, and the plans to restore Pugin’s original decoration, starting in the eastern chapels.
Tours will depart throughout the afternoon, so pop in whenever.
The following pop-up talks will be given throughout the afternoon:
Nottingham Cathedral's Architecture and Furnishings, Ian Wells, Nottingham Civic Society.
This activity has been made possible thanks to generous funding from the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
