Pugin Discovery Day
Restoring Pugin
A fun packed day of arts, crafts & a 'Discovering Pugin' activity trail during half term.
Our Restoring Pugin project team had an amazing time running a Discovery Day workshop for families during half term. Over a hundred people attended and took part in a range of activities from designing and making stained glass window designs, to producing their own monograms.
Families also spent time exploring the architectural features of the Cathedral using our children's activity trail sheets. The trail encourages children to take time to appreciate the wonderful design of the building, and it's a great way to make the story of Pugin's architecture accessible for younger audiences.
Our two new Heritage Assistants Theo and Olivia were also on site helping visitors and providing information.
We look forward to welcoming more families at future events at the Cathedral.
